From the time i was three years old, I knew I wanted to be a dancer. Dancing all of your life has its ups and downs and sometimes, those downs become something you don’t think you’ll be able to overcome. I was a semi profession ballerina with hopes of dancing in a professional company. Unfortunately, I got injured and was told I wouldn’t dance again. Or at least so my doctors thought. During college I tried out for many different dance teams and cheerleading squads always being told no, or that I didn’t have the body, or for any other stupid reason they came up with. But this March, my hopes and my dreams came true. Although I may not be wearing a tutu with my hair in a bun, my time as a PROFESSIONAL dancer has come. I have waited and worked so hard for this opportunity. The amount of tears I had to hold back today was just insane. Today was amazing and being able to share my love for dance was truly heartwarming. I love my team and I am so excited for the rest of the season. Never let anyone tell you that you can’t do something or that you aren’t good enough. Try and try again until you make it. Trust me, it isn’t easy, but when you finally get the chance, you realize that this is what you were meant to do. I was born to dance. ♠️♣️♦️♥️
